What People Are Saying About 4wardFutures

“When the world changed overnight and our whole provision in the Widening Participation outreach world was no longer possible, I knew we had to move things online to continue to support our fantastic young people. Following a conversation with 4wardFutures three days into lockdown I felt inspired.

“Incredibly the ambitious plan not only delivered incredible home learning, family engagement, off timetable STEM provision, it was actually the best programme of outreach I’ve been involved in, in my career.”

“It was that good. We were part of a national effort to keep our kids engaged with education and this programme delivered with aplomb. We changed lives in a time when the world seemed to be falling apart. I was honoured to be a part of it.  Onwards to the next programme.”

— Ant Sutcliffe, Keele University

“During lock down our school Ellesmere Port Catholic High took part in an on line project, which 4wardFutures had developed in a very short space of time. This package engaged the students and energised their thought process with STEM, but with a little more of a twist attached to the scheme of work.

It allowed all students to develop their critical thinking skills as well as their creative side to thinking about a Life on Mars and ways in which we could get there and live within this hostile environment.  The impact on the students was outstanding and that can be demonstrated by the evidence that we collated and the level of detail and creativity within their work. The scheme of work also enriched the students' lives and highlighted the need for engagement of creativity within STEM.

"This totally changed my perception of STEM and what it means to the outside world."

The engagement from outside industries on the Zoom platform was amazing. It gave students a chance to see the types of STEM related jobs that are being developed and jobs that are there now to inspire young minds into a STEM related industry. This was one of the benefits of doing this with 4wardFutures and hit many of the Gatsby Benchmark criteria for both STEM and Careers.

A truly inspirational 2 weeks of fun, expanding minds and developing minds well done! Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”

— Tony Hickman, STEM Lead Ellesmere Port Catholic High school

'Just want to say what an amazing 2 weeks this has been...  I can honestly say this is way up there with some of the most memorable teaching experiences in my life! '

- Assistant Headteacher

“Our school has worked with 4wardFutures for two years now. They provide some fantastic experiences for our students to work on STEM based projects, allowing students access to cutting edge scientists in the field of space and gaining experiences otherwise not possible”

- Margaret Winstanley, Bridgewater High School
