4wardFutures is delighted to announce that it is contributing to the Gofod am Cymru (Space in Wales) project, a new venture funded by the UK Space Agency’s Space for All fund.

Gofod am Cymru (GaC) is an educational project designed for young people from all backgrounds, with the aim of champion the burgeoning Welsh space sector and enhancing space education more broadly.

This project takes advantage of the new ‘Curriculum for Wales’, which enables schools to develop their own curriculum with a focus on skills-development. GaC will support teachers by providing ready-made resources that highlight the strengths of Wales’s space industry and raises awareness of the many career opportunities available.

This is a collaboration between Space Wales, Science Made Simple, Thompson STEM Engagement, 4wardFutures, and Cardiff University. Throughout the project’s run, GaC will deliver multiple school interventions, teacher CPD, public events curriculum-linked resource packs, game-focussed resources, and career profiles.

4wardFutures will support GaC by developing a bespoke virtual careers fair platform, which will enable Welsh space companies to exhibit their exciting work and the range of career paths they provide. This platform will be available for young people, teachers, and the wider public to access and learn about the many opportunities on offer.

4wardFutures will also contribute by delivering school interventions in schools in North Wales, delivering the bi-lingual resources that have been produced throughout the project.

The development of a virtual environment follows on from previous projects, such as the creation of a Martian art gallery showcasing the artwork of pupils taking part in the VALOM project: https://4fvirtual.org.uk/gallery.

Please contact media@4wardfutures.org.uk for any queries on the development of virtual environments for conferences and exhibitions, and alex@4wardfutures.org.uk for any information on the GaC project.
