Women in Space

Maruška Strah has been passionate about space and space law ever since she read her first chapter on international space law. Her interest only deepened during her work at the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, where she gained significant insight in the work of both, public and private sector involved with the space industry. Her main area of interest is Space Traffic Management.

In the webinar Maruška will talk about both her work in space law and how her enthusiasm and passion for space has led her to bring space closer to people, especially youth and women.

Alina Vizireanu is a Geospatial and IT Consultant specialised in working with data received from the Geospatial Satellites that survey the earth from Space. Alina is also the membership manager for the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC); a United Nations backed organisation and network which aims to represent university students and young space professionals ages 18-35 to the United Nations, space agencies and industry.

In the webinar Alina will talk about how her passion for geography has led to a successful career working in the space sector and how she has recently set up her own Consultancy partnership - www.Avinterra.com

Maruška and Alina will then talk about the advice they can give to young women who are interested in careers in the space and related sectors.
