VALOM Online

In July 2020, in the middle of the first lockdown, over ninety year 7 students from Ellesmere Port Catholic High School took part in a pilot of the 4wardFutures Visualising a Life on Mars Project.

The Visualising a Life on Mars project, funded by Higher Horizons, challenged pupils to visualise the experience of space travel and creating a new life on a planet like Mars, through various mediums including art, creative writing, music and even computer animation.

A key element of the project were daily webinars with professionals from both the space and creative sectors. Each morning an average of seventy students logged on from home.

Examples of the work the students produced is exhibited on the VALOM page on this website.
