Mars Rover One Week On

On Friday 26th February 112 year 7 students from Ellesmere Port Catholic High school joined a webinar with Brad “Buddy” Gersey and Ray Stott to find out about the Mars Perseverance Rover, which had landed on Mars on the 18th February.

60 of the students logged in from home while the remainder were in school.

Ray, from a company called Space Specialists, gave the students an update on why the rover had been sent to Mars and on the images that it had already sent back of the Mars environment.

Buddy, who is NASA funded scientist based in Dallas Texas in the US, told the students about some of the investigations and experiments that the rover will be carrying out on Mars.

Throughout the webinar, Buddy and Ray answered questions the students posted.
