Funding from the IET and IMechE for the Engineering a Sustainable life on Earth (EASLOE) project
We are pleased to announce that we have been successful in a bid to the IET and IMechE for funding to develop and run our EASLOE project.
EASLOE is a careers education project that taps into the passions and values that many young people have in addressing the climate and ecological challenges that humanity faces.
EASLOE will introduce 120 young people to the wide ranging and exciting work that engineers are doing to address these huge challenges, and the engineering careers and progression pathways that will allow them to work on addressing these challenges themselves through their future careers.
The EASLOE project will be delivered through a series of live and webinar-based interactive workshops with professionals and academics who are working on addressing these challenges.
Sustainability Expo
The EASLOE project will also involve developing a large Engineering area in our Virtual Sustainability Expo. https://vimeo.com/679824998/b622c1f500
Through this Virtual Expo and an associated webinar programme, engineers, engineering companies, academics and organisations will be able to share with young people, the work they are doing to combat the climate and ecological challenges humanity faces.
